George at work in S.F.
I had an opportunity to help a good friend and corporate photographer, George Simian, in San Francisco for a few days and since it is always a treat to get to the west coast in winter I took it. We checked in at Hilton hotel on Wednesday at 4:00 pm. That is 400 lbs of George’s portrait equipment stuff on a cart; strobes, stands, Canon 1Ds Mark-II, chimeras, kookie sheets, reflectors, gobos, and lots of other stuff.
The next moring we arrived on location at the downtown law firm’s Embarcadero tower at 8:00 am sharp. We set up lighting and we were ready to go by 9:00 for a full day of shooting individuals.
This is the view out the window while we packed up to go to Palo Alto for tomorrow’s photo session. – Jon
